Keri McKee - Development Officer
Every nonprofit depends on fundraising and fundraising requires passion. Keri Robinson knows this well.
A lifelong resident of Springfield, she graduated from Missouri State University in 2001 with a BS in socio-political communications. Her experience as assistant director of annual funds for Missouri State, then as development director for the Alzheimer's Association and as a special projects director for the National Kidney Foundat
ion taught her the foundations of bringing money into an organization.
While the opportunity to raise money for Camp Barnabas intrigued her, it was an encounter with a camper this summer that ignited her passion. "Alex P. was just a young guy going home one night when he lost control of his truck and struck a tree. He could be any one of us. But his life changed forever that night. As I visited with Alex during Term 9, I realized that every child we serve could be any one of us. And every penny I raise helps them experience a week where they are just that...any one of us."
Keri works with development director Cyndy Teas to secure the funding vital to the programs of Camp Barnabas. She oversees individual and group fundraising as well as special events. She is also an ambassador for the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Rotary-Springfield Southeast. Keri is married to her high school sweetheart, Blaine, and they have two kittens, Pepper and Walter, and a dog, Sophie.
