Other diagnoses
The following camps offer activities best suited for children with diagnoses other than physical disabilities, developmental/intellectual disabilities and/or diagnoses in the autism spectrum disorder (except Asperger's).
These include children to young adults with chronic diseases such as AIDs, hemophilia, sickle cell, Crohn's, cancer, diabetes and others. It may also include children who are blind and/or deaf/hard-of-hearing. And children with Asperger's (no PDD or ODD). NOTE: If your child has Asperger's with PDD or ODD, then please email our registrar, Sandy Smith, at sandy@campbarnabas.org and she will help you determine the best camp choice for your camper.
The mental age of these campers must be with one to two years of their chronological age. And they must not use a wheelchair or walker for anything other than to prevent exhaustion.
Please choose the camp that fits your child's age, then click on that camp to go to a page with more specific information. The link to our online registration is located at the bottom of each camp's page.
Registering for the wrong program may affect your child's ability to attend camp in summer 2012.
