Renee Weston - Financial Officer

Renee Weston has done bookkeeping work her entire professional career. But at Camp Barnabas she is excited about being "a part of an organization that provides such joyful and incredible experiences for children who are often limited by society because of their outward appearance."

A resident of the Springfield/Joplin area since 1984, she says the most adventurous thing she's ever done in her life was give up her steady job and drive five days and 4,000 miles to Alaska to join her husband, Charles Harris. "I loved every minute of it," she says. Harris is an active duty U S soldier and she was there with him one year.

She enjoys funny movies and funny people, impossible jigsaw puzzles, reading, word puzzles and learning to cook better. Her time with her grandkids is very important to her, even if she's just playing in the floor with them. And she and her husband recently took up riding motorcycles.

She has one daughter, one stepson and his two sisters, as well as three grandchildren and two cats, Cleopatra and Marc Antony.
