Summer Staff
As a ministry for people with special needs in a Christian camp setting, Camp Barnabas is committed to serve God first and foremost. Because of that commitment we believe we are commissioned to offer the best of His hope, love, joy and encouragement to our campers and the volunteers who help us in this ministry. It takes a unique summer staff to help us accomplish this.
Being a part of paid summer staff at Camp Barnabas requires extreme dedication to serving God and strong, outgoing leadership skills. We select staff from among the finest students in America and require top notch people to uphold our reputation as a high quality summer camp for people with special needs. Competition is heavy for the approximately 130 summer staff positions and most are filled by February of each camp year.

Testimony
“This is one of the things I love most about camp – its place in each of our stories. Whether this is your tenth year or your first, whether camp’s place in your story lies only in the future or both in the future and the past, camp has a permanent home in the narrative of our lives. For most of us, this part in our story will speak of heartache and trials, pain and adversity; for all of us, this part will speak of joy and incomparable laughter, of friendship and community, of sleepless nights and coldless days, and did I mention growth? But admist all of these different entities, camp’s place in our story will speak of Jesus. And for this, above all else, I am excited!"
