Term 1:  Adult Friends

Young adults to older adults (ages 16-45) that are developmentally disabled are inviited to attend this week of camp. Returning campers older than 45 are also invited to attend.  These campers must be ambulatory and able to tolerate outdoor activities. Campers share their space and should enjoy being with other people throughout the day. There is a 1:2 counselor-to-camper ratio for this term. Select campers will have a 1:1 counselor-to-camper ratio.

During this week we have a large number of people with Down syndrome or other developmental challenges. We respect these campers as adults but also know they need assistance to stay on task and perform independently.
