Term 6: Soaring Hawks

(FORMER TERMS 6 AND TERM 8 COMBINED)

FRIDAY, JULY 15 - THURSDAY, JULY 21

Children (ages 7-25) who are blind/visually impaired, deaf/hard of hearing, hematology/oncology patients, burn patients, amputees, diabetic, and/or have chronic illnesses, sickle cell, hemophilia, and/or craniofacial syndromes are invited to attend this week of camp.  This is a very mixed group of campers and we embrace their uniqueness. The child with visual challenges and/or hearing challenges will be offered many exciting adventures within the safety level that is appropriate for them. Some children have other complicating diagnoses in addition to their visual/hearing challenge and will be grouped in a cabin accordingly. Others may have a hidden disease/disability and they learn to put aside their illness/disability and just be a kid at camp! The fun is non-stop and the campers traverse the ropes course and buzz down the zipline. Whatever excitement they choose, the fun does not stop until late each day!

Siblings are invited to attend this week.  Camper siblings have their own special program.  While the siblings will see one another at camp, they will not live in the same cabin.

If you have questions about whether this is the best week for your camper, email Libby LaGarce, Registrar or call her at 417-476-2565.
